SDA Celebration Churches
"Mere noise and shouting are no evidence of sanctification, or of the descent of the Holy Spirit. The Lord desires to have in His service,
order and discipline, not excitement and confusion." General Conference Bulletin April 23, 1901.
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual
songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord" Colossians 3:16
The "spiritual songs" we were to sing, were to make a melody in our hearts. That word in the Greek, is a beautiful worship music, such
as playing the harp; truly a melody. According to the Strong's it is directly related to psalms or hymns!
"Love not the world, neither the things of the world, if any man love the world the love of the Father is not in him." 1 John 2:15.
There are three tests in Daniel that the faithful will be faced with.
1. Appetite (chapter 1).
2. Worship and music (chapter 3)
3. Worship that a civil law prohibits (chapter 6).
"Music is acceptable to God only when the heart is sanctified and made soft and holy by its faculties. But many who delight in music
know nothing of making melody in their hearts to the Lord. The heart is gone "after their idols." Evangelism p. 512.
Music can be an IDOL!

Unsanctified Ministers/Ministries Will Be Weeded Out
The great issue so near at hand [enforcement of Sunday laws] will weed out those
whom God has not appointed and He will have a pure, true, sanctified ministry
prepared for the latter rain.--3SM 385 (1886). {LDE 179.2}
Many will stand in our pulpits with the torch of false prophecy in their hands, kindled
from the hellish torch of Satan. . . . {LDE 179.3}
Some will go out from among us who will bear the ark no longer. But these can not
make walls to obstruct the truth; for it will go onward and upward to the end.--TM
409, 411 (1898). {LDE 179.4}
Ministers and doctors may depart from the faith, as the Word declares they will, and
as the messages that God has given His servant declare they will.--7MR 192 (1906).
{LDE 179.5}
Music Is Made a Snare
The things you have described as taking place in Indiana, [THESE COMMENTS WERE MADE IN CONNECTION WITH THE "HOLY
FLESH" MOVEMENT AT THE INDIANA CAMP MEETING OF 1890. FOR FURTHER DETAILS, SEE SELECTED MESSAGES,
BOOK 2, PP. 31-39.] the Lord has shown me would take place just before the close of probation. Every uncouth thing will be
demonstrated. There will be shouting, with drums, music, and dancing. The senses of rational beings will become so confused that they
cannot be trusted to make right decisions. . . . {LDE 159.1}
A bedlam of noise shocks the senses and perverts that which if conducted aright might be a blessing. The powers of satanic agencies
blend with the din and noise to have a carnival, and this is termed the Holy Spirit’s working. . . . Those things which have been in the past
will be in the future. Satan will make music a snare by the way in which it is conducted.--2SM 36, 38 (1900). {LDE 159.2}
Let us give no place to strange exercisings, which really take the mind away from the deep movings of the Holy Spirit. God’s work is
ever characterized by calmness and dignity.--2SM 42 (1908). {LDE 159.3}
