Modern Day Idols
Do you worship any of these idols in these pictures? Do you pray to any of these idols in these pictures?
Did you answer no to these 2 questions? Well don't get to excited because you may be worshipping an idol and not be aware of it. Read more to

Let me ask you some more questions. What do you spend the majority of your free time on. What I mean by free time is, what do you do after you
get off work or after you get out of school? Do you crack open your bible? Do you turn on 3ABN (3 Angels Broadcasting Network)? Or do you turn
on the TV and watch all your Tivo shows. Or do you get on the Internet and surf Ebay the rest of the day. Or maybe you go into some non Christian
chat rooms and type the rest of the day. What I am getting at is, how much of your free time to you give God? 5 second prayer before you fall
asleep? Or maybe even a 5 minute prayer before you fall asleep? God doesn't require much but what he does require is for your own good. He
wants you to strive to develop a relationship with him to help you fight the battle against Satan. If Satan distracts most of your time from God he
wins. Thats how Creeping Compromise starts. If you give in a little then little by little you are being carried off the the tide.
OK be honest with yourself for this next question. If your used to have $1,000 average in your bank account and you have been penny pinching for a
few months. You know you have some extra spending money but aren't sure, so you check your bank account. You find that you have $2,000
dollars in THERE!!!!!!! Whats your first thought? You know its not a mistake because you have been cutting back. Your first thought would be
probably what my first thought would be. Man oh man, what do I want to buy, lets go shopping!!!! This is why most of us are not blessed with money
because the majority of us would turn away from God and never look back. Well unless the money ran out or we ran into some big trouble. Same
thing goes for if your used to having $5,000 in your bank account and you find you have $10,000. Whats your first thought? What if your used to only
having $100 in there and now you have $200? I don't know if any of us would automatically think wow where can I donate this money to do the most
good for God's cause.
Just because you don't physically pray or bow down to an idol doesn't mean you aren't worshipping an idol. People who bow down to idols or pray
to idols are putting the idols before God. What things do you put before God? How about your money? After the bills are paid and the necessities
are bought what do you spend the majority of your spending money on? Do you spend it on donations to serve God's gospel? Or maybe you
spend the majority on mission work or your local church budget? More than likely you spend the majority of it on selfish worldly things that you can
go without. Instead of buying a used car you buy a fancy brand new car so that your money will be tight for years to come and you can't afford to give
to God. Instead of buying cheap new clothes you buy name brand expensive trend clothes. You don't dare buy your shoes at Wal-mart!!!!! No you
must buy your shoes at the mall. Do you get my point yet? You place the majority of your offerings to the worldly god and then you give whats left
over if anything to the only God the matters. Time and Money are both things offered to idols. Who do you give the majority of your Time and
Money (offerings) to, worldly gods, or to the living breathing God that can use your time and offerings for good and not evil?
Pray about it and ask for forgiveness and the power to change your ways so that you can stop serving worldly idols and serve the only true God.

all their soul, and with all their might, He would abundantly bless them in basket and in store, and would remove sickness
