Dear friends and family,

I recently received a letter from a friend who is a member of the church in the Ohio Conference.  The subject matter in
the letter is a serious and cannot be ignored. It is regarding issues that are emerging within the church in different
locations as the enemy is trying to destroy our identity and our mission.

It is time for us to identify which side we are on and take a stand on the issue.  I have personally signed the petition and
encourage you to carefully read the letter, its links, and consider doing the same. Will the "Read Adventists" please
stand up?

"His special blessing accompanies the labors of men of action; men who will not be swerved from the straight line of
duty, but who with divine energy will inquire, "Who is on the Lord's side?" men who will not stop merely with the inquiry,
but who will demand that those who choose to identify themselves with the people of God shall step forward and reveal
unmistakably their allegiance to the King of kings and Lord of lords." Christian Service, p. 238.

Let us "Press together" as we accelerate into the final events, soon to welcome our Lord Jesus back in the clouds of
glory.

God bless you,

David Gates
Letter from Ohio
Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord,

There is an urgent situation that needs your immediate attention. Please prayerfully consider this appeal. As you may
already know, the Ohio Conference of Seventh-day Adventists since 2005 has been sponsoring an Annual Conference
on Innovation.

They have invited questionable and spiritually dangerous speakers such as Leland Kaiser (and Kevin & Leanne
Kaiser), Leonard Sweet, Samir Selmanovic, Doug Pagitt, and Alan Hirsch, and others.

These speakers have been allowed to address and advise Adventist members and leaders, and have influenced the
ministries of Pastors within the Ohio Conference.

But their ideas and teachings come right out of mysticism, antinomianism, interspirituality, and the Emergent Church
movement with its blend of Roman Catholic practices.

Through these Conferences on Innovation, Satan is attempting to weaken the Adventist Church, and to disrupt the
mission of the remnant of God.

Time is running out for this planet. We cannot allow Satan to enter through this door!

Below is a website with a petition we are here bringing to your attention. This petition will be presented to Elder Raj
Attiken, President of the Ohio Conference, this coming Spring.

Several thousand signatures are needed on this to have its due impact.

The petition simply asks our Ohio leaders to discontinue the Conference on Innovation, and do so out of respect for
God’s counsels, and the guidance of the Spirit of Prophecy.

This idea has the support of Elder Ted N.C. Wilson, who has counseled us not to adopt emergent methodologies, and
for us to hold our leaders accountable.

Please consider signing this important petition.

Remember, of 6 frogs sitting on a log , 4 of them decided to jump off. How many were left?  The answer is 6.

Deciding to do something relieves psychological pressure, but DOING it requires character. Please decide to sign the
petition, and then DO IT.

Don't be afraid to stand up and be counted, the Book of Revelation says that outside the New Jerusalem are the
"fearful".  Be courageous. An even greater test is about to come to God's people.

The following website contains book reviews of recent speakers, and also a link to the petition:

But not all is dark and gloom in Ohio. There is an important hometown camp meeting and revival being planned in Ohio
this summer. The theme will be “Forward to Zion” and the speakers will be Samuel Pipim, Roy Gane, Alden Ho and Wes
Youngberg. The dates for this camp meeting will be June 8-12, and the meeting will be held at the Allegheny West
campground in Thornville, Ohio. This is not an Ohio Conference sponsored meeting.
